The Heel Knot Bottle Hanger

A rather unique little deal that will prove handy for a number of uses. The jug handle knot, also known as the heel knot of the vaquero's traditional jaquíma, is an ancient tool used to carry water jugs from the earliest times of mankind. Using modern nylon cord you can carry your water bottle on your saddle or person and be a recycling, "earth" friendly horseman too boot! For now it comes in a plain white, 3/16" cord but we hope to add other colors soon. Can be loosened and fitted to carry various sized soda or sport bottles and also used to carry a hammer, hand axe, fence tool or other implements of the range. Its self-constricting knot holds tight under a load but is easily worked loose when needed. Sling loop can be worn around the neck, on the shoulder, off the belt or hanging from the saddle horn or dee rings. Sling is easily adjusted using the classic sheet bend found on rope halters. Click on the pic at the right to see larger, detailed pictures of this great little deal.
