Fiadors (fee-a-doors) & Bosal Shapers

To me, these are an essential part of the complete hackamore setup. Used in the early stages of training in the Old Californio style the fiador serves as a throatlatch as well as holding the bosal in place so the young horse can find the nice headset and body frame we seek..

These fiadors are made from a high-quality, 3/16", double-braided nylon yachting line. Made to fit most standard horse sizes but can be made to order at custom lengths. Email with any questions.

Bosal Shaping Blocks - Made from leather and sized to the diameter of your bosal's branches these bosal shapers will help your bosal conform to the muzzle of your horse. Your bosal should fit your horse like your hat fits your head. Store your bosal so that it is ready to wear for your horse to get the most from its use. Helps to keep the lower jaw of your horse from being sored by the bosal. Be sure to indicate bosal size when ordering.
