Heavy, Single-Ply, Buckaroo Browband Style Headstall – Double 1” buckle adjustment with laced 1” browband and 1” poll strap. Stainless rosettes fancy up the browband, 5/8” throatlatch and stainless steel conchas on the bit end. Bit keepers are of rolled button design using soft latigo. Easily change bits without the hassles of Chicago screws to come loose or lost.

Scalloped browband; teardrop cheeks; slotted brass (others available) conchas; flat, oval buckles; buckle style bit/snaffle keepers; basket or tri-corner stamped (meander or carlos borders available), the whole tamale in traditional buckaroo styling.

Loop-end Style Hackamore Headstall w/ Browband – For a complete hackamore setup that includes a fiador (traditional throatlatch) you need this style headstall. Loop-ends make for an easy change from one bosal to another (as long as you know your fiador knots!) Made from either ½” or 5/8” (your choice) 8 oz. latigo this bleed knot setup with grass knot browband allows you excellent adjustment for that just right fit. You can raise or lower the bosal on your horse’s nose easily with the sheet bend hitch on the cheekpiece.
Loop-end Style Hackamore Headstall w/ Browband and Fiador (please indicate whether you want a rope or mohair fiador)
Traditional Fiador (throatlatch) for the complete hackamore rig - Made from either high quality 3/16" double braided yatch line used for sail shrouds or from 100% mohair cord, these fiadors serve as both a throatlatch and to stabilize and balance the bosal on the bridge of the horse's nose. Used to limit the hang and the bump found in the use of the larger colt type bosals. Many purists of the Old Californio style believe the colt hackamore must have this setup to help teach the horse how to respond to the rider while preserving the soft mouth for later graduation to the bridle.
