SAGE SADDLERY

"For a saddle your great-grandkids will still be riding"

This is a Wade saddle built on a Hadlock and Fox tree. The idea was that the owner of this rig was going to build it under my guidance, but as life goes he couldn't get past the groundseat before a job change put a hole in the plan. So I finished this up for him. A 14 1/2" finish seat with straight up cantle is decorated with a carlos meander border around the seat and a crescent in the seat. The fenders, cantle back, and rear housing (jockeys) are also border stamped. The horn is latigo wrapped and a catchrope hangs from the Oregon style rope strap. Flank straps and fenders a lined to minimize sweat sinking in. The picture shows the saddle with a plain pair of oxbows but there will soon be 3 1/2" brass bound bell stirrups hanging from the 3" full leathers. The skirts are small (as I prefer) and the lining is natural wool shearling, no synthetics here. Latigo and cincha hangers along with breatcollar dees on the front buttons are included. The saddle went home with a buckaroo style martingale (choke collar seems to be what they are calling them now), old-timer style headstall and a 3 1/2" tunnel loop rear roping cinch.
