"For a saddle your great-grandkids will still be riding"

Trail Rider Wade - Built on a Timberline semi-quarter tree (6 1/2" by 8" gullet with 90 degree bars) with a #4 dally post horn. This beautiful black saddle was built for a lady that wanted the comfort of the flat seat for herself with the free shoulder fit of the Wade fork and bars for her horse. Wickett & Craig drum-dyed, 14 ounce, black saddle skirting is the leather for this rig. Hardware is the Al Stohlman line of floral motif, stainless steel fittings with an in-skirt, 5054 plate style front rigging and 2 1/2" rear dees for the back rigging that are riveted to the skirt and screwed into the bars. A pair of 1" stainless dees to hang a buckaroo martingale (breastcollar). While not intended as a roping rig, this setup would sure stand up to light duty and would be a great recreational ranch roping saddle for those interested in the old vaquero ways of roping livestock. This one sports 6 #3x flowers in a carved setting of the Sheridan style to add a taste of subtle decoration.

The saddle is outfitted with a fold over type off-side front cincha billet, 6 1/2 foot long near side latigo, fold over 1 1/2" rear billets, 4 button - one piece seat with latigo saddle strings through Al Stohlman floral motif stainless steel slotted conchas, 1" dee rings on the seat jockey conchas, extra long saddle strings hanging from the floral stainless conchas of the rear jockey, an extra small Cheyenne roll, genuine 100% shearling skirt lining and 3 1/2"" tread, stainless steel bound, black leather lined and tacked with brass escutcheon pins stirrups. A matching buckaroo style martingale (breastcollar) and 3 1/2" wide flank cincha round out the deal.

This saddle fitted out at well under 35#. Contact me for a price quote on building you a light weight but durable rig.
