This is a plain Wade style saddle in either full roughout, half-breed (roughout seat and fenders with smoothout everywhere else) or full smoothout leather. You can semi-customize it a little using the options provided for the price offered or you can email us with your own custom needs and we will quote you a full custom price: sagesaddlery . These will be made on an "As ordered" basis so you need to figure about four months for delivery, faster if the tree gets here quickly from our supllier. We regularly make these in our shop as they are as inexpensive as I can make one and yet are working hand tough.
Saddle is in Wickett & Craig leather in a 14-15 oz. weight. Russett, chestnut or brown are your color choices for leather.
Trees are from Timberline in Utah and can be ordered in the following fit: 1) standard - 6 1/4" wide by 8" high gullet with 90 degree bars 2) semi-quarter - 6 1/2" wide by 8" high gullet with 90 degree bars 3) full quarter - 6 1/2" wide by 8" high gullet with 93 degree bars. Finish seat sizes available in 1/2" increments starting at 14.5" and ending at 16". All other seats must be custom ordered and prices will vary.
Standard Wade 3" x 3 1/2" wood post horn capped and wrapped with mulehide cover, on an 8" swell. Cantle is 4" x 12" round profile with a small 1 1/2" Cheyenne roll.
Fenders can be from 16 - 18" with leathers cut accordingly. Full stirrup leathers are twisted and set. Stirrup leathers are 2 1/2" wide with vertical post Blevins Quick-Change buckles. Comes with Nettles laminated, monel or brass bound, 3 1/2" finish tread stirrups with leather tread covers. Larger stirrups available for a surcharge.
Stainless steel or brass 5057 front rigging plate mounted at the 7/8 position, stainless or brass riveted rear "dee" rings and 1" martingale "dees".
Near side latigo, half-breed latigo on the offside and cincha and latigo hangers included. 1 1/2" flank cincha billets are included. Genuine Wickett & Craig sheepskin with 3/4"+ pile line the ultra small skirts that are butterfly laced for freedom of movement for your horse's hips. This is a working buckaroo quality saddle that can be used for heavy roping. Sage Saddlery quality construction guaranteed.
